NOT ANTI-TECHNIQUE
Technique matters. We simply don’t have to prescribe what it should look like before you’ve explored the problem.
GUIDED DISCOVERY GOLF COACHING
Good coaching gives your exploration direction without taking the discovery away from you.

You're not left to figure it out alone. And you're not simply given a swing to copy.
I use my experience as a coach to help identify what matters, give you the knowledge you need and create purposeful tasks that make the feedback clear.
The guidance gives the exploration direction. The discovery belongs to you.

A SIMPLE PRINCIPLE
GUIDED DISCOVERY
Guided Discovery doesn’t mean you’re left to figure everything out for yourself. I’m there to coach—giving the session direction and shaping the exploration.
We explore the relationship between what you do and what happens.
FUNCTION BEFORE FORM
Take something as fundamental as your grip. Rather than beginning with a textbook picture, we might start with a question:
What does your grip need to enable you to do?
Change something. Try it. What changed? There is still a purpose, and I’m still coaching. But we’ve started with function, not an ideal picture.
WHAT A LESSON FEELS LIKE
Golf is a game. Learning it should still feel like one.
We start with what you want to understand, change or explore.
I help make the task clear and provide the information that matters.
You experiment, notice the feedback and discover how you can influence it.
You leave with something that makes sense to you.

RICHARD PARKER · WGTF LEVEL 3 PRACTITIONER
I've played golf for more than 30 years and know what it feels like to chase positions, techniques and the next answer.
Parker Golf grew from a different idea: good coaching can give you direction without taking the learning away from you.
WHAT IT IS — AND ISN’T
Technique matters. We simply don’t have to prescribe what it should look like before you’ve explored the problem.
If telling you something will help, I’ll tell you. Information is part of the learning process.
The word guided matters. I’m designing and shaping the exploration.
Your solution may look conventional. The difference is the route—and what you’ve learned along the way.
QUESTIONS
I’ll tell you what I think will help your learning. Sometimes that’s information. Sometimes a question or changed task is more useful.
Yes. But I don’t begin with the assumption that there’s one swing model I need to fit you into.
It’s exploration with direction. Tasks, questions, constraints and information deliberately shape the problems you solve.
